CEGA executive highlights North Africa as gateway for Chinese firms

2026.06.13 North Africa offers Chinese companies a strategic gateway to European, African and Middle Eastern markets, HAN Leimeng, executive chairman of the China-Africa Economic Cooperation Center under CEGA, said on June 13. Speaking at the 2026 China Enterprises Global Impact Dialogue, Han cited the region's tariff advantages, logistics connectivity, distribution networks and trade service infrastructure as key attractions for businesses expanding overseas. He said companies could reduce costs and strengthen their competitiveness by sharing logistics facilities, increasing local procurement and developing joint assembly operations.
