Johnson & Johnson drug wins China approval for BRCA2-mutated prostate cancer

2026.06.22 Johnson & Johnson⁠ said on Monday that Chinese regulators had approved Akeega (niraparib and abiraterone acetate) for use in combination with prednisone or prednisolone in adult patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) carrying germline and/or somatic BRCA2 mutations. The approval was granted by China's National Medical Products Administration, expanding the drug's approved use in the country.
